Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a SIM card for every single sensor?

No! You only need ONE standard cellular SIM card, which goes into the main Base Module. The individual Sensor Modules communicate with the base via free local radio frequencies (up to 1km away).

Do I need Wi-Fi or Internet access on my farm?

No. Farms rarely have Wi-Fi coverage across open fields. Our Base module uses standard cellular networks to send you a direct text message.

Will it stay powered during cloudy, rainy weather?

Yes. The internal batteries can power the modules for days without direct sunlight. Even in overcast conditions, the included solar panels provide a trickle charge to keep the system online.

Theory means nothing without real-world application. We are actively conducting rigorous field pilots with agricultural experts at Maejo University in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

By placing FMS units directly into muddy, wet conditions, we are fine-tuning our sensors to perfectly understand the difference between heavy irrigation and an impending flood.
